For several years now, I have been self-employed designing and building websites for retail businesses - and I also manage a number of content-based websites. My skills are centred around ICT, databases and the Internet. They extend to include elements of project management, marketing and business analysis.

My career started with the development of database systems for City of London merchant banks - and I moved on to develop and support complex database applications in a wide variety of industries in England and the Netherlands. This has been a "Portfolio Career", which has given me the experience and confidence to tackle projects in a wide variety of companies and working environments.

The rise and rise of open source computing has inspired me to found Open Source ICT.

I believe that the point at which these new technologies meets the business world is the most exciting and important event in the computing & business worlds for many years - and that the positive consequences of radical new ways of exploiting the power of the internet will only become clear with the coming years. In short: "You ain't seen nothing yet!"
